We consider the final moments of Jesus life on earth and His cruel death on the cross. We also reflect upon the continuing effect of the cross which is almost timeless in its influence and purpose: for the cross still stands, the cross still towers, His blood still cleanses, eternally the same.

Our confidence can be found in God alone, the source of our salvation. In this letter Paul writes to Timothy and reminds him of his salvation history, something that we all have or should have. For Timothy, his grandmother and his mother had both given their lives to Christ and now it was Timothy’s turn.

Alex St Ledger-Renfree joined us from New Life Church in Falmouth to celebrate the week of prayer for Christian Unity. He spoke of the life changing experience of Saul who became Paul when he saw Jesus on the Damascus Road. Alex reminded us through his own story that we all need to meet with Jesus.
